Pyjamas All Day

Fear Not!
I've not given into comfort over style just yet(anyone who knows me knows I'll be the one in the care home in my heeled slippers pushing my drinks trolley around) BUT it's difficult to ignore a trend that is super stylish and equally comfortable, so today I embraced the nightwear-by-day trend.
Just to be clear!
I'm not talking about mermaid tailed onesies or toweled dressing gowns, you don't actually want to look like you've rolled out of bed. I'm talking slip dresses, silk robes, matching co-ordinates and an elegant pair of heels are a must. If you want to go a little more high maintenance add a bold lip and some subtle jewellery.

This is also such a transitional outfit, so whether it's brunch, work or cocktails... one can wear one's Pyjama's all day!

I chose quite a bold choice with matching stripes, but I always think monochrome is so chic especially teamed with red and gold.

Have fun with this look, play with prints and vibrant colours and show your sense of humour as well as style!

Hello!

Hello!
Welcome to Blog on Heels, the sequel to my first fashion blog 'A trend I made earlier' which I published in 2012 as a super keen twenty-something entering the 'blogging world'.

I constantly scribble fashion notes when I'm looking for some inspiration and I'm told I have a massive cheesy grin on my face when doing so! So let's just say it makes me tick ✔️✔️✔️

My inspirations mainly flow from fellow fashion bloggers such as Pandora Sykes (former Fashion Editor for The Sunday Times STYLE Magazine, which is my weekly go-to for everyday fashion outfits), Miroslava Duma & Olivia Palermo (I don't think I need to explain that one, she walks her dog in heels). Closer to home in Manchester, where the fashion blogger game is stronger than ever, I follow the style diaries of Megan Ellaby (Pages by Megan), Lindsey Holland (Ropesofholland.com - who has actually relocated to London now, but will always be a Manc) and Hannah Whiting (toomuchisnotenough) who is probably most on my wave-length when it comes to putting outfits together.

My plan for Blog on Heels is to use it as a platform to showcase  my everyday style in which I am calling my 'Personal fashion archives' (pronounced r-kives not r-chives like I thought until more recently than I should probably admit. In Icelandic it would be pronounced Skjalasafn, give that one a try). The definition of archive in the dictionary is a place to store something... I hope in years to come I can look back and see where all my wages went!

I would like to inspire people reading this post that it is O.K. to enjoy fashion and to spend time on your appearance, it doesn't make you a bad person :)

Cue my first outfit post...
